Spousal Maintenance
(also called alimony)

Our office can help you determine if spousal maintenance is appropriate in your divorce or legal separation.  The current Arizona Spousal Maintenance statute is A.R.S. Sec. 25-319.  The current Arizona calculator and worksheet were introduced in 2022. Information about the family, each parent’s income, and the length of marriage are some of the factors looked at.  In cases where spousal maintenance is agreed to or ordered,  the Divorce or Legal Separation Decree will have language about whether it  can be modified.  If the party ordered to pay spousal support does not follow the order, enforcement may be needed.
